Rory Wade is a rising star in the fashion, cheerleading, and digital world. She chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about her inspirations and latest endeavors.
Margaret Mead once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” This quote applies to Rory Wade, a young cheerleader, model, and social influencer.
What inspires you each day as a model and cheerleader?
I get inspired by people who work really hard and are super brave—like Maddy Brum and Gabi Butler! They are so strong and fearless, and that makes me want to be brave too. I also feel inspired when I learn something new or help someone feel happy and confident.
What do your plans for the future include?
I want to cheer for Texas Tech when I’m in college, someday coach big elite teams, and have my own cheer gym that’s full of sparkles and kindness! I want to keep modeling, maybe star in a movie or show, and I think it would be fun to try singing too!
What are some of your proudest moments so far?
Becoming a Rebel Ambassador made me really proud because Rebel stands for confidence, kindness, and being yourself—and that’s what I try to be.
Reaching 100,000 followers was really special too, not because of the number, but because it means I’m connecting with people and hopefully helping them feel a little braver. I’m also proud of how I keep trying, even when things feel hard.
How does it feel to be a part of the digital age?
It’s really cool! I get to share what I love and make new friends from all over. I like that I can post things that might help someone feel brave or smile when they’re having a hard day.
What is your advice for young and aspiring models and cheerleaders?
Always be kind, and don’t give up—even if something is hard! You don’t have to be perfect. Just be yourself, work hard, and keep having fun with it.
What does the word success mean to you?
Success means doing your best, being proud of yourself, and helping others feel good too. It’s not about being the best at everything—it’s about trying, growing, and being kind.
How does it feel to be a Rebel Ambassador?
It feels really, really special! Rebel makes me feel strong and sparkly, and I love being part of a team that believes in confidence and kindness. It’s like being part of a big family that cheers you on.
