On Thursday, November 6th, Emmy-nominated TV host Debbie Matenopoulos hosted a fabulous cookbook signing event at Limani restaurant in New York City, for a good turnout. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

Ms. Matenopoulos was able to share her passion for authentic Greek cooking, and everyone felt at home. She cooked one of the recipes from her cookbook (which is Limani’s recipe as well), and she made some noteworthy KLEOS cocktails.

Fans and patrons were able to enjoy an evening of Mediterranean hospitality with passed hors d’oeuvres, a KLEOS Mastiha welcome cocktail, and a live cooking demo of Limani’s “famous Lobster Pasta” as the dish is featured in her latest celebrated cookbook.

Guests also took home a taste of Limani — their signature olive oil — and a signed copy of her critically-acclaimed new cookbook “Greekish.”

Matenopoulos began her career at just 21 years old on ABC’s “The View” when she was hand-picked by Barbara Walters to join the cast. To this day, she holds the record as the youngest person in history to hold a permanent co-host position on daytime network TV.

“The event was great! Debbie was very personable, down-to-earth, and a pleasure to be around,” said Penny Douskalis, fan and attendee.

Debbie Matenopoulos and the Limani team ought to be commended for a job well done.
