Kristian Bandeira chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his forthcoming world record attempt for most pull-ups in eight hours. This will take place on Saturday, May 16th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“I will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the most pull-ups in eight hours, which currently stands at 5,450 pull-ups,” he revealed. “My purpose for this record attempt is to bring awareness to something that is very important to me, which is veteran suicide awareness and prevention.”

Bandeira is drawn to fitness, and pull-ups in particular, for several reasons. “I have always been good at pull-ups, even from a young age,” he admitted. “They have consistently been a staple in my training regimen. Because of that, I believe I can break this record and use it as a platform to support a cause that matters to me which is veteran suicide awareness.”

For hopefuls who wish to go for their own world records, he offered the following advice: “Learn how to suffer.”

Last year, Bandeira represented Massachusetts in the 2025 Mr. America Global competition. “It was a one of a kind experience, and my fellow candidates are all great men who I will consider brothers for the rest of my life,” Bandeira expressed.

For his supporters, Bandeira remarked, “Thank you! The journey has just begun.”

Bandeira is very passionate about raising awareness for veterans. “Thank a veteran. If you know one, reach out. Give them a call, take them out, or do something kind for them,” he underscored.

“Give back to a community that has given so much for your freedoms,” he concluded.

We wish Kristian Bandeira the best of luck in his upcoming world record attempt!
