Still photographer and videographer Marcelo Vizuete sat down and chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos at Loews Hollywood Hotel about “Maybe Meant to Be” Webtoon.
The cast of “Maybe Meant to Be” includes Molly Anderson, Zachary Rist, Gabe Armentano, Laurine Price, and Shannon Timberlake.
Vizuete had great words about working with Webtoon on this project. “Working with Webtoon was an absolute blast. Everything was kept together well and everything ran smoothly on set,” he said.
On being a part of the “Maybe Meant to Be” experience, he exclaimed, “It was probably one of my favorite vertical sets in the last couple of years. It was produced by this wonderful production team called Armstrong Zhao Productions, which is helmed by a fantastic group of girls Tiffany Zhao and Kaelyn Armstrong.”
“I’ve been working for them over the last couple years on various different projects, with a lot of different actors and actresses, and it has always been a lot of fun,” he noted. “They are people that bring quality and fun to a set, and they are one of the few companies that I am really excited to work with on a regular basis. They put the work first, and they always put out good, quality stories.”
On his favorite part of that shooting experience, Vizuete remarked, “My favorite part was befriending the male lead Zach. We discovered how very similar we both are.”
“We were just goofing around on set the majority of the time to the point where the production team was making fun of me because we had great chemistry together,” he said with a sweet laugh. “We were just having a good ole and fun time. I really appreciated those moments during that shoot.”
On the lessons learned from the “Maybe Meant to Be” screenplay, he shared, “It taught me that there definitely still a lot of studios. They want quality content, quality writing, and if that’s what we have to look forward to in the vertical space with ‘Maybe Meant to Be,’ then I have confidence that it will move forward.”
For fans, he remarked about “Maybe Meant to Be,” “I hope the fans go and watch it and I hope they read the comics if they want to. Both the vertical and the comic are great, and they were both made with a lot of passion. I guarantee that fans and viewers will have a good time.”
