Actor Mark McClafferty chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos at this year’s VertiCon in Culver City, California.
On being a part of VertiCon, he exclaimed, “I feel absolutely honored and blessed to see each and every one of you guys. I wasn’t here last year so just to have all you guys in the same room is just awesome! The fact that people watch the work that we do makes it even more meaningful.”
“The fan support truly means the world,” he added.
McClafferty is thrilled to be a part of Vertical Drama Merch, along with Jayda Stephens and Fabian Arnold. He considers it a deeper and more meaningful way to bring audiences closer to the actors behind the stores their love.
The goal of Vertical Drama Merch is to give fans a way to celebrate and support their favorite stars, while providing talent with a new opportunity to grow their personal brands and share in the success they help create.
On the greatest lesson that acting has taught him, McClafferty said, “People say that actors are good liars and they have to fake it, but in all honesty, some of the most truthful conversations I’ve ever had were during a scene. Sometimes, it is so cathartic to do a special scene and something that is very special to you.”
“Acting has taught me to listen more and to appreciate the human being sitting across from me, and to know that it’s a huge blessing to try to convey the human experience on to the scene, which what we try to do. I just love acting and any time I get to collaborate.”
