This Thanksgiving, Blu on the Hudson would have a solid holiday dining destination choice. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

New Yorkers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city may consider a trip to Blu on the Hudson. It is just a scenic six-minute NY Waterway ferry ride from Manhattan to picturesque Weehawken, New Jersey, one can enjoy a short walk along the harbor with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. It’s the perfect backdrop for a memorable Thanksgiving photo with family and friends!

Executive Chef Juan Carlos “JC” Ortega will serve a $69 three-course prix fixe menu from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.  The menu features Chef JC’s signature-style American-Mediterranean cuisine – which has made the restaurant a praised dining destination – as well as classic holiday dishes.

Diners can choose from a large selection of appetizers and entrees such as Free-Range Turkey, House-Made Pastas, Fish and add supplemental veal parmesan, 16oz Prime Del Monico Steak or 8oz Filet Mignon for an additional $20. Dessert options include Carrot Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Smores Flourless Cake or Spiced Panna Cotta.

A la carte options are also available, including their popular Seafood Towers, Haute Caviar Service, Steaks, Sushi Rolls, and a wide variety of classic appetizers and sides. The Thanksgiving Day menu may be viewed here.

Sommelier Adam Greer’s extensive wine menu features lesser-known wines for a great value alongside legacy producers. It includes a robust selection of wines by the glass, as well as a reserve list beautifully displayed in the restaurant’s wine wall. Also available are a number of beautifully crafted cocktails.

Blu on the Hudson will be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 28th) and reservations, which are filling up quickly, are now being accepted via OpenTable. Since Blu on the Hudson’s opening in April 2023, it has become a hotspot for destination diners from Manhattan and New Jerseyans alike, including prominent sports personalities, influencers, and celebrities!
