Actor Shayne Davis has a major reason to be proud. He just celebrated four years of sobriety. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.
“Today, I’m celebrating my four years of sobriety,” Davis said in a post on social media. “I just want to thank everybody who was there for me. All my friends, some of the vertical actors even, and everybody who showed up for your boy.”
“The fans… a lot of gifts have come into my life through recovery. I’m very, very grateful. Also, I need to thank the haters too. They are vital. I had to have somebody to prove wrong. The main hater was me,” he acknowledged.
“So, if you’re out there and you’re struggling, just know that it took me a while… I was in recovery for eight years off and on before I got these four years. So, anything is possible, if you just keep on trying,” he said, encouraging his followers.
Most recently, this past weekend, Davis was a part of the “Men of GammaTime” event at the 2026 ALZA Festival, where he was joined by such vertical actors as Seth Edeen, Luke Dodge, Cayman Cardiff, and Volodomyr Pielikh, along with GammaTime CEO Bill Block and Director of Development Amy Sullivan.
