In the final moments of the series, Lenny (Tony Way) took a photo of Tony and Brandy, as he looked at it confused Tony was headed away from the fair.
As the scene continued, Tony continued walking, then appeared to be joined by his deceased wife and alongside Brandy, the trio faded out of the scene.
Which is the reason tons of fans were confused and asked if the dog died.
Elsewhere, Gervais explained the ending to Hello: “The ending for me says that life goes on. Life goes on. The Fair has been there for 500 years, and it might be there for another 500. It’s basically saying, we all die, but not today. That at the moment it’s good, it’s fine.”
