Animal Crossing Fall update brings spooky treats to New Horizons

While we don’t know exactly when it will arrive we do know that we’re getting closer to the launch of the Animal Crossing Fall update.

As with other seasonal changes, this will bring Autumn activities to New Horizons, including Halloween themed treats.

We don’t know how much new stuff is being planned as Nintendo has provided much in the way of news yet.

What we do know is that new activities are being planned and we would predict that new decorations and items are being planned for October 2020.

Here’s what Nitnendo has confirmed so far about its plans, telling gamers this week: “It’s time to celebrate the fall season in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game—which means there’s another free update around the corner.

“Be prepared for seasonal in-game events and activities, plus some spook-tacular tricks and treats!”

A release date has not been announced yet, making it difficult to predict when the next patch will drop.

Summer has already ended, meaning Nintendo could update their game whenever they want, especially after adding that coming soon tag.

October 1 is when the latest changes in catchable Fish and Bugs is expected to happen, and this could be the perfect time to dropp the ACNH Fall update too.

The downside is that would mean waiting another week for everything to go live on Nintendo Switch console.

Things have already started to change in-game, with Nintendo warnings fans earlier this month:

“Hello, everyone! It’s the first day of September, which means cooler weather for our friends in the northern hemisphere, and the first hints of spring for those in the southern hemisphere. I hope you’re having fun wherever you are.

“With the changing season, I’ve been finding pine cones and acorns in the trees! I bet those could come in handy for some cozy fall-themed DIY projects.”

“Oh, by the way, I wanted to mention a new seasonal item available now through Nook Shopping. It’s a cute grape-harvest basket! It’s only available from now through the end of the month, so I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss it.”
