Veteran actress Lynda Carter (“Wonder Woman”) chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos on the red carpet of the 2026 Angel Ball GALA.

This year’s event raised $3 million for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation, which benefits blood cancer research.

An esteemed singer, actress, and philanthropist, Lynda Carter was recognized for her passionate advocacy and commitment to advancing blood cancer research awareness.

Angel Ball and its significance

On being a part of this event, Carter said, “I am very passionate about tonight but this isn’t about me. I try to be as glamorous as I could possibly be. It’s about serious subjects. It’s about celebrating the fabulous minds of scientists and science and illuminating what they do for us.”

“I am joining forces with Denise Rich. She was fighting for the life of her daughter, and I am fighting for the life of my husband. We both ave a common goal,” she acknowledged.

If she is ever going to collaborate with her daughter

When asked if she were ever going to collaborate with her daughter, Carter said, “My daughter (Jessica Carter Altman) is such a gifted musician, singer, and songwriter, so I’m always hopeful… I write a little bit and sing a little bit,” Carter said.

Skincare routine

Regarding her skincare routine, Carter responded, “Honestly, truly, it’s soap and water. I just have clear soap. Just a clear soap and water.”

AI on the industry

On the impact of AI on the industry, she compared it to “flying a plane without a pilot.” “I don’t want to be that,” she admitted. “These days, there are robots doing surgeries, but without the surgeon, it takes skill to do it, and it takes people.”

“Aristotle wrote a long, long time ago about logos, ethos, pathos and logos. AI is only logos. There is no empathy. There is nothing but data. It doesn’t have feelings. It doesn’t. So never forget that. We, as humans, have them. It’s just data points, so don’t forget that,” she noted.

“That is why I am here, is to remind everyone that we’re human. Also, the people that help us most are humans, and that’s where we have to put our hope,” she added.

Success

On her definition of the word success, Carter said, “Success means camouflage and tenacity… what they call the imposter syndrome, because we are always in flux. We are always moving ahead and changing, and what worked today, we are always moving ahead. So, you don’t rest on anything.”
