Dan Walker and John Whaite have yet to face the dreaded dance-off however they may be forced to dance again for their place in the semi-final when Strictly Come Dancing returns this weekend. Digital marketing agency Mediaworks has been tracking social media sentiment since the series began and this week it seems Dan and John are at risk.

The agency uses AI technology to analyse the most recent 1,000 tweets relating to the remaining Strictly contestants and their dance partners.

A new score is assigned to each contestant each week based on the new tweets that are generated.

From November 20 to December 2, John finds himself at the bottom of the sentiment chart.

He is the only quarter-finalist with a negative score which may mean he’ll face his first dance-off on Sunday.
