David Fuhrmann sat down and chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his experience in “Love Overboard” and performing with the Chippendales at The Paramount as part of their 2026 “Talk Dirty to Me” World Tour.

On performing at The Paramount, the top music and entertainment venue on Long Island, with the Chippendales, David remarked, “This is pretty cool. This is actually my first time being here in New York. So, it’s an all new experience for me, and I am liking it very much so far.”

Daily motivations

On his daily motivations, he shared, “It really depends on the day. On a good day, I am motivated by my work ethic. Regardless of what the day throws at me, I just lean into it no matter what. Whether it’s good or bad, life is coming at you. So, if you don’t take the reigns, it’s going to take the reigns from you. So, that motivates me to stay ahead of that.”

Love Overboard’ on Hulu

On being a part of the reality TV series “Love Overboard” on Hulu, he remarked, “That was such an experience. It was really cool! It was a really pretty boat. I spent a month in the Mediterranean living in luxury with a lot of beautiful people. So, I mean it was a great summer.”

Plans for the future

Regarding his plans for the future, he stated, “My plans are to keep growing every day, whatever that looks like. I want to get better at dancing, and learning the production side of things a little bit more.”

“As far as Chippendales goes, I want to grow my private practice more and start taking on more clients (because I’m a therapist),” he noted.

“Then, eventually, in the next two to five years, I would like to get married, settle down, and have a family with kids,” he added.

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, he revealed, “Renaissance.” “Everything is new,” he admitted. “I’m trying a lot of new things.”

The digital age

On being a part of the digital age, he said, “I think it’s a lot. I think it has a really good side and a bad side to it as well. It’s a double-edged sword. I think it keeps you in the loop whether you want it to or not.”

“There are a lot of positives to it as well,” he said. “There are a lot of negatives too with the Internet.”

Advice for young and aspiring performers

For young and emerging performers and dancers, he said, “My advice to anybody aspiring to be a performer would be to lean into it. I think it’s a really cool experience that they let me join the Chippendales team.”

“I think it’s great to really lean into it and to try something new,” he added.

Success

Regarding his definition of the word success, David said, “Success means feeling content. I think a lot of people strive to be happy and to avoid those darker feelings, but I think the real goal is to find that common ground in the middle.”

“So, success means being content with everything in my life… my lows and my highs, that is where I will know I’m successful,” he added.

Message for his fans and supporters

For his fans and supporters, David expressed, “I would tell the fans that I hope you guys are entertained and you guys are loving this journey. I just hope that you guys like it and that you guys are enjoying the show.”

“When the fans come to the Chippendales shows, I want them to feel empowered. I think a lot of people can sometimes have a misconception of our show, but I think oftentimes the people who come leave feeling more empowered than perhaps than when they first came in. Overalll, I think our show is an opportunity to find empowerment,” he concluded.

DJ Sandra Dee remarked, “David Fuhrmann has a spark in his eyes with pure excitement for the journey that he is embarking on! He has a great outlook on life, and he is doing incredible so far.”
