Adele postponed the start of the tour with a day’s notice because it wasn’t ready due to delays relating to COVID-19 and delivery issues. Former host discussed the clip the singer had shared to her Instagram followers before labelling her “miserable” and accusing her of overreacting over “a concert” during his  breakfast time show.

In a clip posted to her 48.7 million Instagram followers, Adele sobbed as she explained the last-minute cancellation.

“We’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid,” she stated.

“Half my crew, half my team are down with Covid – it’s been impossible to finish the show.

“And I can’t give you what I have right now, and I’m gutted. I’m gutted and I’m sorry it’s so last minute.”

GB News frontman Eamonn commented: “I look at Adele and I think ‘calm down, it’s only a concert, it’s only a music show’.”

His colleague Isabel Webster looked stunned as she replied: “Well, she was being paid £500,000 a night and apparently some people have paid $30,000 to go to the opening night, so she’s also crying tears for people who have paid an awful lot of money to go and see her debut there-“

“For a night of misery,” Eamonn cut in, as his co-host ordered him to stop commenting.

Isabel replied: “Well Adele, she was rolling in the deep… what was she doing? I can’t think.”

“She’s always just moaning about people who have left her,” the 62-year-old cut in as he grew tired of the puns about song lyrics.

“Yeah,” agreed Isabel, adding: “But people can relate, people like it – I love belting out a tune, terribly, to Adele and Meat Loaf, it has to be said.”

“Listen, I just want a bit of happiness,” the former ITV star explained.

“You say Las Vegas to me, I think Elvis, no one’s going to top that so there you go, that’s it.”

Eamonn made the move recently to join GB News after changes were made to his This Morning schedule.

He presented the show with wife Ruth Langsford, but Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary replaced their main slot.

GB News is available on Freeview channel 236, Sky HD 515, Virgin Media HD 626, and DAB+ radio nationally.
