FIFA 21 Early Access demo: Play new FIFA for just £3.99 on PS4 and Xbox One

21 fans were dealt a crushing blow recently, as EA Sports cancelled plans to release a free demo.

Fortunately, however, there are ways to play the game early, and without stumping up the cash for a full pre-order.

If you want to play FIFA 21 ahead of its October 9 release date, then you can get early access to a ten-hour trial version of the game via EA Play.

The FIFA 21 early access demo begins on October 1 at 6pm BST UK time.

“Start your FIFA 21 season sooner, 10 full hours before release with EA Play!” reads an EA tweet.

“Members get even more FIFA 21 throughout the season with XP Boosts, monthly recurring vanity items, and a 10% member discount on in-game purchases, full games, and more!”

EA Play subscriptions cost £3.99 a month on PS4 and Xbox One. Alternatively, you can pay £19.99 to access EA Play for the entire year.

Not only will you get early access to FIFA 21, but EA Play subscribers can download and play dozens of other games through the Vault.

This includes Rocket Arena, NFS Heat, Battlefield V, Anthem, Burnout Paradise Remastered and Fe.

As for FIFA 21, the upcoming football release is coming to current-gen and next-gen consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

“Win as One in EA SPORTS FIFA 21, powered by Frostbite,” reads the official description.

“Whether it’s on the streets or in the stadium, FIFA 21 has more ways to play than ever before – including the UEFA Champions League and CONMEBOL Libertadores. FIFA 21 Dual Entitlement includes Xbox One and Xbox Series X games, at no extra cost.”

New features include a dynamic attacking system, additional Career mode options and expanded Volta football.

FIFA 21 also boasts thousands of authentic players, while EA Sports claims to have improved Ultimate Team.

“Enjoy brand new ways to play the most popular mode in FIFA as you build your dream squad of players past and present in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team,” EA Sports continues.

“Play with unrivalled authenticity in FIFA 21 with over 17,000 players and 700+ teams alongside more than 90 stadiums and 30+ leagues that give you the most true-to-life experience of The World’s Game.”

In addition to early access via EA Play, fans can play the full game with no time restrictions by pre-ordering certain editions of FIFA 21.

FIFA 21 Champions Edition and FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition pre-order customers can access the entire game from October 6.

The standard edition of FIFA 21 launches just a few days later on October 9.
