Ginger Ristorante, recently opened by Roman restaurateurs Dario Asara and Corinna Bassetti Josi, joining their acclaimed Roman restaurants (Ginger Spagna, Pantheon, and Corte Laica) just steps away from Rockefeller Center. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.
Launched as its first U.S. location, Ginger embodies a philosophy centered on healthy, sustainable, and predominantly organic ingredients, expressed through a contemporary, Roman-inspired all-day menu. Now launching their spring menu, as well as an outdoor seating patio.
A selection of their health-focused dishes include, but not limited to:
An array of juices, smoothies,and salads. All juices and salads are made with farmed-source fruits and ingredients sourced locally.
· Juice: Ornella, celery, fennel, carrot, and ginger
· Smoothie: Buzz, mango, soursop, ginger, and apple
· Salad: Fossa, poached shrimp, orange segments, blanched asparagus, chives, toasted macadamia nuts, organic mixed salad, and citronette
· Energy Bowl: Açaí, organic acai, banana, blueberries, and homemade organic granola
Expect a wide range of Italian classics such as:
· Appetizer: Suppli, three crispy rice and tomato balls with mozzarella, and a side of basil mayo
· Homemade Pasta: Chitarra ai gamberi e limone, house-made fresh pasta with shrimp, Ferrarini butter, and meyer lemon
· Main: Spigola, wild striped bass fillet, red pepper reduction, shaved fennel, orange segments, and black olive powder
· From the brick oven: Nerano, brick-oven pizza with mozzarella, zucchini chips, Parmigiano fondue, Parmagiano chips, basil, and extra virgin olive oil
· Desserts: Tiramisù, made with organic coffee, savoiardi, and mascarpone, to a slice of Acai Cheesecake with banana
Ginger’s selection of refreshing cocktails, alongside wine selection from the owner’s organic vineyard in Irpinia, Italy completes the menu.
