Davey Fisher chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about being a part of Season 2 of “Finding Mr. Christmas” on Hallmark. He is a model, actor, and personal trainer. He hails from Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Walt Disney once said: “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Davey Fisher is living proof of this wise quotation by the cartoon legend.
On working with host Jonathan Bennett and judge Melissa Peterman, Davey said, “It was awesome! I think Jonathan and Melissa both have a way of making everybody feel comfortable immediately. There is a certain sense of hospitality that’s just so natural with them that they don’t have to fake it. And immediately, I just kind of felt more at home with them.”
“Obviously, having Gabe, a friend along with me on this journey as well, made me feel a little bit more comfortable,” Davey admitted.
“We were in this foreign environment together, and it’s intimidating. So, to kind of walk in and for Jonathan and Melissa to bring their Christmas spirit made it feel very warm and fuzzy,” Davey explained.
On the lessons learned from this show, Davey reflected, “I learned a lot. I definitely learned how to kind of keep my composure and maintain a slow heart rate when I start to panic. It’s impossible not to panic in some of these situations where all eyes are on you.”
“Not only your friend, but two directors and some very polished Hallmark actors that you’re working with,” Davey noted. “You don’t want to let them down.”
“Not to mention the guys that you’re on set with every day that also become your friends. You kind of feel like you’re under the microscope a lot. So, you’re kind of forced to learn how to be comfortable being uncomfortable,” Davey added.
Davey noted that it is important to bring himself in each task or challenge. “The irony, I think, is that you’re there acting as another character, but you want some of yourself to shine through too,” Davey said. “This way, people can see who you are. How do you fit into this role versus just being a character that you’re trying to fit into? So, I think that’s kind of a fun part.”
A fun fact is that Davey served as Chris Hemsworth’s body double.
