The comedian joked about planning to have Barack Obama and Adele as guests on the upcoming series of his show.
“The show itself is a topical stand up based chat show so the people who come on have to be prepared to be engaged as well,” he added.
When asked what makes him stand out from the other primetime chat show hosts, John replied: “Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton are like the kings of chat shows in the UK and there’s absolutely no way that this is trying to emulate what they do.
“It’s a little bit more entertainment-based as we throw in some videotapes and the guests are on the show throughout, there’s not going to be one segment, and hopefully it will feel like three or four people having a chat together.”
