Digital content creator Josh Bodkin chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest endeavors.

Byron Pulsifer once said: “Imagine, dream, and believe in yourself. With determination and belief, you will be surprised at what you accomplish.” This quote applies to Josh Bodkin.

He runs Solarwave Media, a content production company that is based in Sarasota, Florida. They are storytellers, they believe in telling inspiring stories that have real-world implications. “I am super grateful and blessed that I get to do this for a living,” he said. “I pinch myself every day because I get to do my passion as my full-time career.”

On his daily motivations, Bodkin said, “I am big on the idea of chasing passion.”That’s the motto I live by and it’s a neverending journey. It’s the procss of waking up every day and putting everything that I have in everything that I am doing. Whatever it is that I am doing, I want to do it passionately. I try to carry that over in my video production company as well. Our mission behind our company is to tell inspiring stories.”

“I love chasing my people and talking to other people that are chasing their passions,” he admitted. “I am not super big in the fitness industry, I just happen to love fitness,” he said.

Bodkin noted that his faith in God, as well as his wife are his two biggest things in life. Even though Bodkin just entered his 30th year, he is a firm believer that age is just a number.

Most recently, Bodkin and Brian Pruett were a part of “Living the Dream: Balancing Entrepreneurship, Fitness and Family Life in Sarasota, Florida,” which is available on the Pathos YouTube page. “Brian and his wife, Gigi, are great people,” he exclaimed. “They are probably our closest family friends, we’ve known there for a while now and we love them.”

“Pathos has been fun. It has been a creative outlet for myself and Brian,” he added. “Brian and I both create for a living, and we both love inspiring other people whether it’s via fitness or via videography. Pathos is a combination of us both creating things for ourselves. It allows us to have our own creative outlet, and we just love it.”

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Bodkin said, “Self-actualization.” “I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflecting lately, all for the purpose of serving others better,” he said. “It’s important to have a self-awareness of who you are.”

Regarding his definition of the word success, he said, “Success means living a purposeful life, which is one where I am waking up and doing what excites me and what I am passionate about every day.”
