Kate Linder & ALS Network present “An Afternoon of Art” to benefit ALS research and care honoring Molly Wolveck. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

“The Young and The Restless” actress Kate Linder serves as celebrity ambassador for the ALS Network, and she will host this philanthropic fundraiser, which is in memory of her late mother Molly Wolveck. It will take place on Sunday, August 17th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 9176 Gallery, which is located on 9176 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, California.

Please join us to celebrate the artwork of the late California artist Molly Wolveck, hosted by her daughter, Kate Linder, who has portrayed Esther Valentine on The Young and the Restless for over 43 years. Linder became the celebrity spokesperson and ambassador for ALS and ALS Network in 2004, just as her late brother-in-law Scott Buzzell, was diagnosed with ALS. Linder and late husband, Dr. Ron Linder, and their families, including Molly, were determined to do everything they could to find a cure.

Linder has been fundraising and raising awareness and lobbying Congress for ALS Network for two decades precisely because ALS Network is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for the insidious disease. Linder wanted to honor Molly’s dual commitments to both art and to finding a cure for ALS through the ALS Network.

“I’m thrilled that my mom’s artwork will once again be able to help people with ALS through the ALS Network.” said Kate Linder, “I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there for a wonderful afternoon filled with amazing art from my mom and from other artists so that we can make even more progress towards finding a cure for ALS.”

After the first successful fundraiser last winter, Linder is donating even more of her mom’s artwork and Craig Byrd and Roy Oldenkamp were inspired to donate artwork by other artists from their personal collections to help this worthy cause.

The art will be on display and available for purchase with all of the proceeds going to the ALS Network, a For general donations, go to www.TeamKateLinder.org the gallery space is generously donated by local Southern California developer Faring. All of the proceeds benefit ALS Network.
