“This, of course, used to be called custard but because Clive’s gone all posh, it’s now Creme Anglaise,” she revealed.
After mixing the ingredients, Amanda continued: “I don’t want that to come to the boil, I just want it to gently warm.”
She then added a vanilla pop and left to simmer.
“Right, now it’s a critical, crucial time; we’re going to add the cream, milk and vanilla, to the eggs and sugar,” she said.
