We already know about one PS4 game being added and one being removed as part of the PlayStation Now December 2021 launch.

Subscribers can choose between hundreds of games spanning different console generations and genres.

And anyone who has Slay the Spire on their list should drop and start battling today. Sony has confirmed that the indie-card game will be disappearing from the lineup on December 7.

For those who have never played it, Slay the Spire is a fantastic deck-builder that pits you against a world filled with monsters and random encounters.

Filled with roguelike experience STS challenges you to climb a ladder filled with enemies with an ever-growing arsenal of cards that wield differing abilities and purpose.

When you reach the top, you have to hope you’ve done enough to grow your deck and retain as much health as possible as you take on the final boss.

The official PS4 game description adds: “Every run of Slay the Spire procedurally generates a new Spire for you to climb. After every battle you will make a critical decision, choosing a new card to add to your deck.

“Like the rest of the Spire, these card choices will be different every run. Instead of developing a stale best strategy and never changing, Slay the Spire forces you to adapt and experiment with new decks and cards.

“Slay the Spire has three playable characters with completely different card pools and play styles, with each of these characters having a host of different strategies and unique play styles to explore. When playing Slay the Spire, remember to explore and try and discover all the various synergies that are possible.”

The good news is that Slay the Spire is being replaced by another unique PS4 title that should make some fans very happy.

The Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be making its PlayStation Now debut on December 7, and is just the first of a number of Final Fantasy games being added to the library.

There’s already Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 Remastered and Final Fantasy 9 available to play this month.

And more will be added after the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster goes live on PS Now.

The last game being added from the FF library is Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, with Sony confirming: “Enter an era of war within the world of Ivalice. The small kingdom of Dalmasca, conquered by the Archadian Empire, is left in ruin and uncertainty.

“Princess Ashe, the one and only heir to the throne, devotes herself to the resistance to liberate her country. Vaan, a young man who lost his family in the war, dreams of flying freely in the skies. In a fight for freedom and fallen royalty, join these unlikely allies and their companions as they embark on a heroic adventure to free their homeland.”
