Actors Jenna Gilmer, Grant Holleman, and Tristan Green star in the short-form Vigloo mini-series “Camp Evergreen.” #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

At Camp Evergreen’s final summer, Noa (Jenna Gilmer) returns as a counselor and walks straight into chaos: a surprise kiss with her charming first love Rhett (Grant Holleman), a blackout mission with the hot new guy Micah (Tristan Green), and a full-blown love triangle that turns the camp into a betting ring.

It includes strip card games, water balloon wars, public confessions, and a make-or-break talent show push Noa toward the biggest decision of her life.

Jenna Gilmer is bubbly as Noa, and at one point, she comes to a startling realization. Grant Holleman is charming as Rhett (and we learn that there is more to his character than what meets the eye), while Tristan Green delivers a subtle performance as Micah, who is Noa’s voice of reason.

All three actors work well in this love triangle, the storylines are realistic and relatable, and at the same time, it is not overdone.

Every actor in the cast (including the supporting young actors who play the campers) all bring something distinct to the story.

The Verdict

“Camp Evergreen” is fun and thoroughly entertaining. It worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners four out of five stars. It is the feel-good escapism we all need, especially in these trying times that the world is going through. Nicely done!
