Acclaimed heavy metal group Killswitch Engage was able to put on a high-energy metalcore show at The Paramount in Huntington, New York, on December 29th. They performed for an excellent fan turnout.

The Paramount was recently ranked as the No. 1 venue in the world by Pollstar Magazine, and rightfully so. As they took the stage with “A Bid Farewell,” their presence was met with a raucous response. They immediately broke into “In Due Time” and “This Fire.”

“Rose of Sharyn” stood out melodically and lyrically, and “Reckoning” was badass and unapologetic. Equally impressive were “The Crownless King” and “Hate by Design,” the latter of which is rocker Logan Stapleton’s (“Magic Men Australia”) favorite Killswitch Engage tune. “Us Against the World” was vivacious and a great deal of fun. “Just Barely Breathing” was edgy, authentic, and filled with raw emotions.

After “My Last Serenade,” they closed with “The End of Heartache” and “The Signal Fire,” where they left heir diehard fans yearning for more.

Jesse Leach proved that he is one of the most charismatic lead singers out there, his vocals were fierce, emotive, and resonant. Killswitch Engage is highly worth seeing live in concert. Every band member shined over the course of the night. With Killswitch Engage, what you see is what you get. There is something in it for everybody. Well done.

“Killswitch Engage put on an incredible live show,” exclaimed Rafe Tangorra, touring drummer. “Jesse killed it on vocals effortlessly going back and forth between screaming and singing! The front of house mix was unbelievable! Every instrument was clearly pronounced and for a metal show that’s no easy task. Hats off to their engineer.”
