Actors Seth Edeen and Peyton Tucker star in the new vertical drama “Reborn to Marry the Mafia Don” on Vigloo. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

“Reborn to Marry the Mafia Don” is exactly the kind of addictive vertical drama that knows what its audience wants: betrayal, revenge, romance, and a dangerous mafia boss. While the story leans heavily into familiar tropes, it does so with enough confidence and charm to keep the episodes flying by.

Seth Edeen brings a strong screen presence to Adrian Rossi, balancing intimidating mafia-don energy with just enough vulnerability to make the romance work. He has the kind of charisma that carries the more melodramatic moments without making them feel unintentionally ridiculous. Most importantly, this vertical showcases his growth and maturity as an actor.

Peyton Tucker is lovely as Valentina Foster, giving the character more emotional depth than the script sometimes provides. Her chemistry with Edeen is easily the show’s biggest strength, and together they make even the most over-the-top twists entertaining; moreover, their affecting rapport allows for more resonance. One can help but sympathize with Peyton’s character for the majority of the series.

The pacing can feel rushed, and some plot developments are hilariously dramatic even by vertical-series standards, but honestly that’s part of the appeal. The show understands its genre and commits fully to it. This vertical drama garners four out of five stars.

If you enjoy fast-paced romance dramas with revenge plots, secret identities, and mafia-family chaos, this one is a very fun watch. While it isn’t perfect by any means, it is easily bingeable, and without giving too much away, it ends with a bang (or two).
