Stephen Barker Liles of the CMA-nominated country duo Love and Theft released his new Christian music single “Always Been,” and it is amazing. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

Liles released this compelling and inspirational tune on Friday, September 26th, and it coincides with the Rhett Walker tour, which he is on this fall.

The song is mid-tempo with a catchy beat to it. Liles is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable, and that will resonate well with his fans and listeners due to its relatable nature.

“Always Been” strikes a chord with Liles because he lost his mother to ALS a few years prior, and that inspired him to go back to his Christian music roots with a renewed purpose.

His Love and Theft bandmate Eric Gunderson mixed and mastered the song. Particularly impressive about this single is that it turns sincere hardships and struggles into faith and hope. “Always Been” is the song that everyone needs to hear, especially in these trying times that the world is going through.

If that weren’t enough, Liles has made this song into a true family affair… He enlisted his 11-year-old son Jett Barker Liles to help create the lyric video.

“Always Been” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It garners two giant thumbs up, and hopefully, this is a harbinger of more incredible things to come from Stephen Barker Liles in the contemporary Christian music scene.
