Emmy winner Sean Kanan (“Studio City”) to star in the new film “Bodyman,” co-written with wife and director, fellow Emmy winner Michele Kanan. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

Sean Kanan plays the role of Senator Henry Whitaker. Michele and Sean wrote it and produced it under Flip Creative Media, their production company.

The cast includes Kate Monroe, Johnathon Schaech, Martin Kove, Emilio Rivera, David Chokachi (“Baywatch”), Lochlyn Munro, Tom Arnold, and Paola Paulin, among others.

The synopsis is: Evelyn, a kidnapped Senate candidate and decorated Marine, escapes to lead a mission against the trafficking network behind her daughter’s death, fueled by grief and a drive for justice and accountability.

The movie is set against the backdrop of the human trafficking and fentanyl epidemic and it unfolds during the California senatorial race.
