WARNING: This article contains full spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The release of Spider-Man: No Way Home has left Marvel fans scratching their heads. The final scenes of the movie showed Peter Parker losing his identity, leaving him alone, without any money, and without any hope. Going forward, it seems as if he might have done all he can as the Marvel superhero without trying to get himself back into the Avengers.

With that said, Tom Holland has now spoken up on what’s coming next for his version of Peter Parker.

Holland recently appeared on ITV show This Morning to discuss his upcoming film Uncharted. He stars in the film alongside Mark Wahlberg, but interviewer Holly Willoughby couldn’t resist asking if No Way Home was his last time as the web-slinger.

Tom candidly responded: “It could be.”

Tom added with a laugh: “But, the first one could have been my last one, you know?”

The 25-year-old star then got serious. He confessed: “For me, I have absolutely loved every minute of playing Spider-Man. But, if it’s time to give the next lucky kid an opportunity to do it, I would step down proudly.” He added: “I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do.”

If Holland were to step down, there is only one direction the MCU Spider-Man could go.

Tom said last month he thought it was time for him to step down from the series. He said: “Maybe it is time for me to move on. Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film.”

The young star added: “If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong.”

Despite Tom’s comments about moving away from playing the web-head, the chances are that he will be making a comeback.

At the time of writing, Spider-Man: No Way Home has made an unbelievable $1.74 billion at the box office. This number pushes it to the sixth highest-grossing film of all time, ahead of Jurassic World and The Avengers. It would be very unlikely for Sony and Marvel to turn down another bank-buster like this with Tom at the forefront.

Spider-Man No Way Home is in cinemas now.

The rest of the Marvel films are on Disney Plus.
