Star Wars reboot: 'Henry Cavill in talks with Jon Favreau for Disney Plus role'

The future of Star Wars is still a complete mystery to fans. The final moments of The Rise of Skywalker left Rey Skywalker going off to live her life, similar to how Luke Skywalker did in Return of the Jedi. Now noted Star Wars and Disney leaker Mike Zeroh has claimed the franchise will continue on Disney Plus with DC Comics and The Witcher star Henry Cavill at the forefront.

It is important to note that Zeroh has claimed a number of things about Star Wars in the past and not all of it has come true. So, everything he has said ought to be taken with a large grain of salt.

With that said, Zeroh has been reporting the future of Star Wars will live out on Disney Plus in a string of TV shows, similar to The Mandalorian and the upcoming Kenobi series.

One of these, Zeroh claims, will star Cavill after he has been attending “meetings” with Star Wars boss Jon Favreau.

He told his subscribers this week: “Jon Favreau is described to be making a big and exciting decision for the Star Wars universe moving ahead for a brand new unknown project.”

Cavill has long been a fan of science-fiction and pop culture properties, which is why he was so invested in playing Superman.

The actor has previously spoken out about wanting to get involved in some franchise work, so jumping onto Star Wars would not be out of the question.

Last month Zeroh also said Marvel star Brie Larson would be coming to the Star Wars series as well as a brand new Jedi warrior.

Instead of being just another character, however, Larson’s heroine – Maeve – will supposedly be even stronger than Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker “combined”.

Zeroh said of Maeve’s story: “[She] is set to go on a journey to find an ancient Force power that is stronger than the light and dark side of the Force … Maeve is set to discover and obtain and learn about it in this new show.

[The series] will also involve a brand new enemy from a brand new galaxy. Maeve’s new power is what the new enemy seeks.”

Zeroh added: “Maeve is also set to have different levels of her own power which will evolve and be explored in the series.”

The Star Wars series is available on Disney Plus now.
