Actor Stephen Amell reflected on the success of his latest film “Code 8: Part II.” #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

Stephen chronicled the journey in a post on his social media in how it started from a short film to a record-setting crowdfunding campaign to Part I of the movie, to Netflix deal, to Part II, to being the No. 1 movie in the world with over 20 million views on Netflix.

At the same token, the original “Code 8” is back in the Global Top 10 of Netflix at No. 4 with 7.8 million views on Netflix.

The movie, directed by Jeff Chan (from a screenplay by Chan, Chris Paré, Sherren Lee and Jesse LaVercombe) deserves all of the commercial success and critical recognition that has been coming their way!

In this sequel to Code 8, Connor (Robbie Amell) is out of prison and working as a janitor at a community center, having cut ties with his former criminal associate Garrett (Stephen Amell). Connor’s attempt at staying out of trouble is destroyed when he’s forced to help 14-year-old Pav (Sirena Gulamgaus) escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King (Alex Mallari Jr.).

King uses the newly launched robotic K9’s to track Pav down, while Connor finds himself once again reaching out to Garrett and his crew for help, but can he trust the man who landed him in prison in the first place?
