Viewers were shown footage of a rat which Michaela thought was Ray due to the rodent having a wonky tail similar to the rat caught on camera last week.
She said: “Well there’s a rat there, look at that tail. Yes it has a kink in it so that is Ray the rat and yes he did survive the weekend I am very pleased to tell you.”
The presenter presumed Ray was a male rodent because they are less social than their female counterparts and he’s been sighted alone.
However, another rat was also caught on the Winterwatch cameras, but it didn’t have a kink in its tail and Michaela took a guess the second rat was a female.
