Marc Andrew has landed a larger role and a deal with a production company. He chatted with #Powerjouranalist Markos Papadatos about his latest venture in the entertainment scene.
If early reactions are any indication, Marc Andrew may be one of the next rising names audiences will be seeing much more of in the years ahead.
“Landing this role was surreal and I had wanted to work toward these opportunities for a long time, and when they finally come, it’s about showing up prepared and giving everything you have to the story,” he said. “I started off being cast as an extra, and in short notice got promoted to a larger role.”
“You realize the responsibility that comes with it — to deliver, to elevate the story, and to give the audience something real. For me, it felt like a huge step forward and a reminder that this is exactly where I’m meant to be,” he noted.
Marc had great words about working with Gerard Butler and Megan Fox.
“Working with Gerard Butler is amazing,” he said. “Gerard brings such an intensity and focus to every scene. Being around that kind of professionalism pushes you to elevate your own performance.”
“Marc Andrew is just a stud, nothing else to say,” Butler stated during a recent interview, praising the newcomer’s work ethic and energy on set.” “While Marc started off as an extra, he earned his way to playing a significantly larger role as an protection agent.”
For Marc, hearing praise from someone he grew up watching on screen is something he doesn’t take lightly.
“Working with Megan has been nothing short of challenging but in the best way,” he said. “Learning different levels of intimacy and contact through action is what she has been teaching me.”
Megan stated during a casting interview, while “Marc is young, he is not afraid of being put in a moment where he needs to perform at a high level. From confidence, athleticism, and nonchalant swagger this young kid is promising from a 2000s baby. He is a quick learner and someone who is seen now as a young talent by me, Gerard and this production team.”
“Signing with this production company was something beyond unexpected,” Marc said. “It makes me truly believe in a saying that isn’t so cliche to me anymore, as everything happens for a reason, and life shows you that. One year contract with Warner Bros.”
On his future goals, he shared, “I want to challenge myself with roles that are complex and meaningful. Action is an incredible space to work in, but ultimately I want to tell stories that connect with people.”
“My focus right now is growth,” he admitted. “Working with great actors, great directors, and learning as much as I can along the way.”
“Also, remember that confidence comes from preparation. When you know you’ve done the work, you walk into every opportunity ready,” he added..
For young and emerging actors, Marc said, “My biggest words of advice to young emerging actors and people who simply aren’t afraid to be taken chances, is to never second guess yourself. Always say yes to new opportunity even if it makes you uncomfortable. What I learned from this experience is to be comfortable being uncomfortable.”
