On Friday, May 8th, 2026, Ashley Parker Angel, formerly of O-Town, hosted The High Level Happy Hour at GNC in New York City. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

Ashley Parker Angel had samples of his new High Level Science supplements, as well as iced coffee, iced tea, and karaoke at GNC in Midtown, and somehow it was a great deal of fun and thoroughly entertaining.

Speaking of his supplements, these include “Heart + Body + Mind for Overall Health” and “High Level Man – 12-in-1 Testosterone Formula.”

Despite the rainy weather, from the second Ashley walked in, the energy completely changed. Ashley was charismatic, funny, and unbelievably down-to-earth, hyping up every person as if they were headlining Radio City Music Hall (a few blocks away). What could have been a quirky promotional appearance turned into a full-on pop culture fever dream in the best possible way.

Ashley didn’t just “show up” — he committed. He sang along with fans between aisles of protein powder, protein bars, and pre-workout tubs, took selfies with literally everyone, and somehow made a supplement store feel like an exclusive VIP after-party. It had a retro vibe to it where he was able to take the fans back to the late ’90s and early ’00s musical era.

The crowd absolutely loved him. Whether you knew him from O-Town or his Broadway days or just appreciated great stage presence, he had everyone engaged all night. One minute people were nervously singing karaoke, and the next they were belting out early-2000s hits with total confidence because Ashley was cheering them on like a seasoned host. The songs people selected included the O-Town classics, as well as “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys, and even Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life,” among many others.

And honestly? The contrast made it iconic. Neon shaker bottles, granola bars, stacks of protein, and Ashley Parker Angel energetically introducing karaoke performances like it was MTV’s TRL in 2003 — it shouldn’t have worked, but it completely did.

Fan and attendee Chrissy Gervasi remarked, “This event brought me back to my high school days when I got to meet Ashley Parker Angel. I still remember the day my mom got me my first O-Town CD!”

Huge credit to the GNC team for pulling off such a bizarrely brilliant event. It felt spontaneous, nostalgic, hilarious, and weirdly wholesome all at once. If Ashley ever hosts another GNA “High Level Happy Hour” event anywhere — especially in a place as random as a supplement store — we are there immediately.

This past January, Ashley Parker Angel graced the cover of Hollywood Hills Magazine, and rightfully so.
