Tony Moore chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about starring in “Drag House Rules.”

The synopsis is: Seven iconic drag queens move into a house and are eliminated by group vote until only one queen remains.

How was your experience in “Drag House Rules”? (What was your favorite part)

The experience of working on Drag House Rules is always a fun, wild experience. Working with the queens is always a great time. It’s fun to watch them take dialogue and really make it their own to make it fun, funny or dramatically funny. My favorite part is just being able to bring my character Claymore into this chaos. He’s an ex-child star trying to get his footing back into the industry through this show.  He takes a little bit of a different ride this season, but still the chaos is still there.

Why recommend this show to people to watch? What makes it unique?

If you love reality TV you will love to see a hilarious take on the making of a reality TV show. Adding all these different characters to the bunch makes it a fun, campy experience.

Not only do you have some of your favorites from Rupaul’s Drag Race (Juju Bee, Trinity the Tuck, Angeria Paris VanMichaels, Salina Estitties, Heidi N Closet, Sapphira Cristal, Scarlett Envy, Plane Jane, and Bebe Zahara Benet) but you also get amazing performances from Akash Seeramreddi, who is simply hilarious as Petey in the show, Leith Burke (Eastsiders, Bosch), the legendary icon Sherry Vine and Whitney Anderson (My Sister is the Warlord Queen) who play the executives this season. Of course, delicious eye candy with Peter McManus and Christopher Diprete.

What can we expect this season?

A fun campy, chaotic, hilarious take on making a fun “reality show”. I think that about sums up the season,

What did this show teach you about yourself?

This show has taught me to trust myself and believe in myself. It is not easy working with a very talented group of people who easily stand out. So you have to find ways to make sure you stand out as well. Not over shadow, but play along.

How does it feel to be a part of the digital age?

It feels amazing. Out TV is a great streaming platform that showcases so many LGBTQIA + series and I am happy to be a part of it. John Mark created a show that would take a fun look at what making a reality show could look like. It has heartfelt moments, but overall it’s something that you can watch and just enjoy watching and laugh at all the chaotic moments.

What do your plans for the future include?

I am hoping that everyone supports this show enough that we will return for a third season. Until then I am continuing to create my own projects. You can currently see them on my YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/lounginwithtony.

If you are a fan of Days of Our Lives you can tune in to my podcast “Dishin’ Days” or check my new podcast where my bestie Kim and I discuss all this pop culture/entertainment news on “Now Catch This” with Kim and Tony. All available on YouTube and where podcasts can be found (yup I plugged myself lol)

Where do you see this show in the next few years?

I can see this show continuing for a bit. There are so many queens who would like to be a part of it and I think it can always evolve. Much like how we see reality shows evolve. With the audience’s support I think many fun stories can be told through this series.

What would you like to say to your fans about “Drag House Rules”? (What’s the one thing you want them to get out of it)

Watch it, support it, tell all your friends about it. It’s just a fun show and don’t take it too seriously. Simply just enjoy it!

You can watch the first episode of DRAG HOUSE RULES SEASON 2 on OUT TV YouTube Channel,  You can watch “Drag House Rules” on OUTTV.com, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Roku.
