Actor Jay Huguley chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about starring in the new movie “Death on the Brandywine,” which was written and directed by Nick Wilkinson. Huguley plays the role of Ry Riley.

The synopsis is: After a prominent politician is declared dead by suicide, his daughter enlists her partner to investigate. Their search unravels a lethal tangle of family secrets and political betrayal that someone is desperate to hide.

On being a part of this movie, Huguley exclaimed, “I loved it! As actors, we want good parts, and Ry Riley is one of the best parts I’ve ever had. So, that was a lot of fun!”

Huguley was drawn to playing Ry Riley for several reasons. “I liked how complicated he was,” he admitted. “I love how he really wants to do the right thing but he keeps screwing up; however, his heart is in the right place. Ry wants to be a better person.”

On the lessons learned from the “Death on the Brandywine” screenplay, he reflected, “I think it taught me that in order to play a villain, you have to play positive choirs. You must have your heart in the right place… that’s where the bad things can come.”

For fans and viewers, he stated about “Death on the Brandywine,” “I want the fans to be excited! I want them to be shocked and I want them to be surprised!”

“It’s very rare you read a script like this where, on page 50, you have absolutely no idea who the killer is,” he admitted.

“So, that is very exciting.
I want the audience to go along for this ride, and be as shocked as I was the first time I read it,” he concluded.
