Social influencer Tyler Wright chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about content creation, growth, and taking things to the next level.
From viral videos and major collaborations to modeling, acting, and beyond, Tyler Wright is focused on turning content creation into an even bigger career. Wright spoke about his journey, his proudest moments, working with Allen Osborne, and what comes next.
“Basically, I make funny videos for a living, and I just like to make noise,” Wright said.
The digital age
On being a part of the digital age, Wright exclaimed, “I like it! It’s fun! I think it’s crazy that the world has become this way, where it’s very normal for people to be doing what I’m doing but I enjoy it a lot.”
Regarding his future plans, Wright shared, “Honestly, my plans are to work on more collaborations and grow as big as possible. I want to be in magazines, get into modeling, maybe do some acting, and just make it as big as I possibly can as a content creator.”
“I want to get into a bunch of different things. Kind of like what Logan Paul did—starting with content creation and then moving into movies and other opportunities. I want to do it all… boxing matches, acting, everything,” he added.
Advice for young and aspiring content creators
For young and aspiring content creators, Wright said, “My biggest advice would be to stay consistent and focus on making good content. If you can’t be consistent in the moment, that’s okay. Take your time, but focus on creating quality content.”
“You could post 10 videos that flop, and that’s okay. At least you posted them and learned from the experience. If you focus your time on what actually works for your page and your niche—especially the type of content that has the potential to blow up—you’ll save more time than if you feel like you have to constantly post just for the sake of posting,” he elaborated.
“So, be consistent, but consistently put out good content that works,” he added.
Proudest professional moments
Wright recalled some of his proudest professional moments so far. “I’ve been on the news for giving $10,000 to two different women with breast cancer. That was huge for me,” he said.
“Another big moment was when I started doing the whole JBL thing, where I would go through college lectures with a huge speaker. That ended up getting me featured in a newspaper, which was really cool. I also opened a concert for DaBaby with my JBL speaker, which was an amazing experience,” he said.
Fetty Wap also followed me on Instagram after seeing some of my videos that went viral. I helped bring one of his songs back to No. 1 on the Billboard charts when I started that whole trend, so that was really cool.
“I’ve also become a Snap Star on Snapchat and went to Snap School in Miami. I went to Los Angeles with Diamant Blazi and met a bunch of other creators there, which was another great experience. Also, I received my Silver Creator Award from YouTube, which was definitely a major milestone,” he added.
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, he revealed, “Growth.”
His superpower of choice would be “time travel.”
Success
On his definition of success, he said, “Success means being financially free while also having fun doing it. I want to be in a position where work doesn’t feel like work—and honestly, it doesn’t right now. Beyond that, I want to create a family, have peace, and just enjoy the rest of my life.”
Allen Osborne
Wright had great words about working with talent manager Allen Osborne of Big Picture Artists. “Allen is really cool and he has helped me a lot,” he admitted. “Allen has definitely played a big part in helping me move forward.”
Message for his fans
For his fans and supporters, Wright said, “To my fans and supporters, thank you for supporting me to this point. And let’s keep going. We need to get as far as we possibly can, and I’m not stopping anytime soon, and that goes for the haters, too. I’m not stopping.”
“I’m trying my best, and I’m going to keep pushing,” he added.
For Wright, the current chapter may be called “Growth,” but his ambitions extend far beyond social media. With content creation as his foundation, he’s looking toward modeling, acting, collaborations, entertainment, and whatever opportunities come next.
