August Kyss has joined the new crime thriller “Detective Rose Thorne.” #Poewrjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.

Kyss has joined the crime thriller “Detective Rose Thorne” as Forensics Chief Madelaine Johnnson.

From Scream Queen to Forensic Scientist, August is our favorite month of the year. She now steps into the role of Dr. Madelaine Johnnson, the lead forensic investigator of the Savannah Police Department.

Per the official character description: Madelaine is the forensic scientist the detectives rely on when the evidence has to speak clearly. She is precise, calm, and highly competent. She does not perform expertise — she simply possesses it. In the lab she moves with quiet efficiency: focused,
economical, never rushed even when the pressure is high. She is steady, professional, and delivers findings without drama. The weight of what she reports comes from certainty, not volume.

In addition to Detective Rose Thorne, Kyss’ credits also include Onlyfangs, The Devil’s Dancers, Witches X, and Blur.

The television drama is based on the book series Detective Rose Thorne by Dawn Kirby and R. Kyle Hannah, published by Jumpmaster Press.

The series also stars Sammy Morningstar as Detective Rose Thorne, Don Overstreet as Detective Brian Simpkins, and Caitlin McEachran as Officer Gwen Payne.

The Detective Rose Thorne pilot begins shooting in a few weeks in Savannah, Georgia produced by Kord Enterprises Inc, and directed by Jason Hough.
