Alijah Johnson has a major reason to be proud. He was the 2nd runner-up at the 2026 Mister Tourism World pageant, which took place in Thailand. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.
Johnson, who represented the United States, also took home awards for “Best Physique” and for “Best Swimwear.” He finished right behind Ernesto Ahumada of Mexico (first runner-up), and winner Phacharaphon “Oat” Suksamran of the home country Thailand, who won the 2026 “Mister Tourism World” crown.
“I am very grateful for being the 2nd runner-up. It’s still crazy to believe I did that on a world stage. Also, winning best swimwear and best physique too! Was really proud to represent the USA like that,” Johnson said.
Last year, Johnson was the runner-up of the Mr. America Global competition, which was held in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. “𝐀𝐭 𝐌𝐫. Prior to the pageantry world, Alijah Johnson was a part of the Australian Firefighters Calendar, and made history as the first African-American firefighter to be a part of that international calendar, which is quite a remarkable feat.
