ATTYWON has a major reason to celebrate, it won big at the 2023 “Best Of Long Island” Awards. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop. We spoke with founder and CEO Eyal Akler.

Can you briefly tell us about your business?

ATTYWON stands for “All The Technology You Want Or Need” — and we mean it. We design, install and support virtually any technology for your home or office. Our strengths include specialty, custom, luxury spaces that work seamlessly with technology. Our luxury home theater division, called “cinéma de luxe™” offers a truly unique design for each client; if you can imagine it, we can make it. We also create smart homes with a solid network and WiFi infrastructure and various ways to control your lights, shades, temperature and entertainment. We are based in Great Neck, Long Island and we proudly service our “home area” of Manhattan to Montauk; plus we take special, high-end projects out of state as well.

How did it feel to win the 2023 “Best of Long Island” Award?

We are thrilled to win this accolade as well as honored and humbled knowing that we were voted as “Best” by our valued clients and fans. Our business brand is well recognized and respected within our industry but getting the acknowledgement of fellow Long Islanders makes us proud.

What do your plans for the future include with the business?

We are constantly traveling, researching and learning about innovative new technologies and methods that we can offer our clients. We plan to continue to impress and lead the pack by creating easy-to-use, aesthetically pleasing, smart homes that our clients love to interact with. We’ve also expanded our support capabilities to include 24/7/365 technical support.

What makes your business unique?

By seeing our projects one would think we are a huge company with hundreds of employees, departments; difficult to deal with, but that’s not the case. First and foremost, we focus on maintaining a quality and personal touch that is recognized and appreciated by our clients.

We plan to keep that small, local business feel while continually expanding our offerings to create experiences that rival the stuff you “see in the movies” – we recently created a 9-display video wall for a Long Island client that allow them to watch several games or shows at a time and also combine the 9 displays to act as one huge screen. This feat went viral on social media and we are getting many requests from celebrities and athletes who want similar setups in their home.

What advice do you have for people that wish to start their own business?

Start small, focus on your strengths and grow slowly. Always put emphasis on quality and be there to answer calls when your clients need you. Most of all, love what you do. If you’re not having fun and getting excited by your work every day then your business will likely fade away.

How does it feel to be a part of the digital age? (now with streaming and technology being so prevalent)

We love it. We are constantly scrolling, reading, viewing, engaging and posting our work that we’re proud of. Social media has allowed us to choose special projects to do outside of our area as well.

What does the word success mean to you?

We consider a project a success when our client experiences their smart home, or uses their home theater for the first time and their face lights up. The smiles, kind words and “thanks yous” we get from satisfied clients are our medals of honor; we cherish those moments and yearn for more.
