Casey Kasprzyk has a major reason to celebrate! He has just been promoted to an executive producer of “The Bold and The Beautiful,” and in doing so, he has made soap opera history.
According to an article in Deadline, Kasprzyk has become the first non-Bell to serve as an executive producer (and the fourth executive producer in the show’s entire 38-year history).
When the daytime drama series launched in 1987, William J. Bell briefly served as a solo executive producer, and then he was joined by his wife, Lee Phillip Bell, and they executive produced together for nearly eight years.
They stepped down in February of 1996, and their son Bradley Bell succeeded as the sole executive producer of the show and Head Writer. Now, he is joined by Casey Kasprzyk, who has been with the show for a total of 22 years.
As indicated in Deadline, Bradley Bell’s promotion announcement for Kasprzyk stated, “22 years ago Casey Kasprzyk joined The Bold and the Beautiful at the front desk… Since then, Casey has flourished in every level of production… Casey’s commitment and dedication to The Bold and the Beautiful has been extraordinary… Casey’s creative accomplishments are too vast to quantify, as he has continually elevated the show to new heights.”
Kasprzyk began his career with the CBS soap opera in 2003. He was subsequently promoted to Associate Producer in 2008, and Supervising Producer in 2014.
Kasprzyk also served as the creator and host of Bold Live!, B&B’s official YouTube series. Recently, he played an integral role in the show’s relocation from its long-time home at Television City to its new base at Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Hollywood.
Once again, congratulations to Casey Kasprzyk on this well-deserved (and history-making) promotion and recognition. He is one of the hardest workers in daytime TV and nobody deserves this more!
