Canadian pop singer-songwriter Jade LeMac sat down and chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos at her hotel prior to her Madison Square Garden show where she opened for global music superstar Hilary Duff on “The Lucky Me” Tour.
LeMac opened up about Madison Square Garden, new music, and embracing self-growth. Jade LeMac is reaching new heights in her career. Fresh off back-to-back performances at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, the emerging artist is enjoying a whirlwind year filled with major festival appearances, new music, and growing confidence on stage.
Speaking at her hotel prior to her second consecutive performance at “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” LeMac reflected on the excitement of returning to the legendary venue.
“It’s so amazing,” she said. “Last night was so much fun, and I can’t believe I get to do it again tonight. I’m very, very excited.”
Fans attending the show were treated to a setlist that showcased both familiar favorites and fresh material. LeMac shared that audiences could expect songs from her latest EP, It’s Always at Night, along with older fan favorites such as “Constellations.” She also revealed that she has been performing an unreleased track titled “Prettier With Your Mask Off,” a song she has quickly grown attached to.
“I’m really digging it,” she said of the new song.
Now, as “My Life With The Walter Boys” returns for its highly anticipated third season today (on August 6, 2026), LeMac is once again poised for a defining moment.
This season features four songs from her acclaimed EP, It’s Always At Night: “Running Home,” Intertwined,” Sleeping with the Lights On,” and “Sweet Dreams.” Each track showcases Jade’s signature blend of vulnerable storytelling, cinematic production, and emotional authenticity that has resonated with a rapidly growing global fanbase.
Beyond the concert stage, LeMac is equally thrilled to hear her music reaching new audiences through Netflix. Admitting she couldn’t wait to find her songs in the latest releases, she laughed that she skipped through episodes to hear them.
“It was really cool to see my songs in the show again,” she said. “The scenes that they’re in are some crazy scenes, so it’s awesome.”
When it comes to songwriting, LeMac says there is no single source of inspiration. Instead, her music grows naturally from her everyday experiences and emotions.
“My experiences and the ways that I’m feeling inspire my music,” she explained. “It’s different every day. Sometimes it’s the small, unexpected, or random things that inspire me.”
Although she still has several weeks remaining on tour, LeMac is already looking ahead. Once the tour wraps, she plans to spend time at home with her girlfriend before diving back into creating new music and preparing for more live performances.
Reflecting on her artistic journey, LeMac said this year’s tour has marked a significant turning point in her confidence as a performer.
“This is the first tour I’ve really felt comfortable being on stage,” she said. “I’m really proud of the growth that I’ve made.”
She also cited milestones including attending the JUNO Awards and performing at major festivals such as Governors Ball and All Things Go as experiences that continue to shape both her career and personal growth.
One stop that left a lasting impression was her performance at The Paramount on Long Island.
“It was awesome,” she recalled. “It was super fun. I definitely remember that night.”
For aspiring musicians hoping to break into the industry, LeMac believes authenticity and consistency on social media are invaluable.
“Put yourself out there,” she advised. “Social media is the way into the industry right now. Don’t be afraid to post or worry about being cringey or what people think of you. It’s one of the best tools you have.”
Asked to describe the current chapter of her life, LeMac didn’t hesitate.
“I’d probably call it ‘Self Growth,'” she said. “I’m focusing a lot on myself and my health—mentally, physically, and all of the above. I’m really working on bettering myself.”
Her lighthearted personality also shined through when discussing her dream superpower. While she considered flying and teleportation, she joked that being able to shoot money out of her hands so she could share it with everyone might be even better. Ultimately, she settled on the ability to have any superpower she wanted.
LeMac also offered a thoughtful perspective on what success truly means.
“So many people think success is just being wealthy,” she said. “Money is important because you need it to survive, but I also think happiness is a huge part of success. If I was rich and unhappy, I don’t think I’d call that successful. For me, success is finding that balance between making a living and being happy.”
As grateful as she is for the milestones she’s achieved, LeMac remains deeply appreciative of the fans who have supported her journey.
“I love you,” she said. “Thank you for sticking with me and listening to my music. I’m so glad we can share this art together, and I hope to see you soon.”
Her goal for every performance is simple. “I just want people to have fun,” she said. “Music brings everyone together. As long as you’re having a good time, dancing a little, and making memories, I think that’s all you can ask for.”
Away from her own catalog, LeMac also revealed she’s been listening to Hilary Duff, naming “My Friends” and “Roommates” among her favorites. While she admitted she was a little too young to grow up watching Lizzie McGuire, she fondly remembered Duff’s film Raise Your Voice as one of her favorite movies during childhood.
With new music on the horizon, an expanding fan base, and a growing sense of confidence as a performer, Jade LeMac continues to establish herself as one of pop music’s promising young voices. If her current chapter is indeed titled “Self Growth,” it’s also becoming one defined by momentum, authenticity, and exciting new possibilities.
