On December 13, this journalist chatted with actors Travis Van Winkle, Brennan Elliott, Victor Webster, Will Kemp, and Robert Buckley at Christmas Con 2025 in Edison, New Jersey.
Robert Buckley
On being a part of Christmas Con, Buckley said, “It is great to be here. We are having a lot of fun, so far. We are having a really good time.”
On the success of “The Christmas House” franchise, he said, “That was a fun one, and I am so glad that everyone enjoyed it. Working with Jonathan Bennett, Brad Harder, and Sharon Lawrence is the best!”
Buckley’s favorite traditions include food and eating, especially snacks (all of them specifically).
Brennan Elliott
On being a part of Christmas Con, Brennan Elliott said, “I love getting up really, really early and filling up the stocking for my kids. Then, I watch them when they wake up and they think it was Santa. Just seeing them open up presents (and seeing them happy and excited) is my favorite thing.”
Will Kemp
On being a part of Christmas Con, Kemp said, “It’s wonderful to be here; it’s great to be back. I have a wonderful time here. It is great fun to meet everybody, as well as see people that I’ve met before, who come back to say ‘hi.’ I enjoy the panels. It’s great fun, and Christmas can now begin.”
Victor Webster
On being a part of Christmas Con, Webster said, “It feels fantastic to be here. All of the actors are just so fun and friendly. We have such a great time in the back just laughing. To hear the stories from the fans about what these Hallmark movies mean to me is just so wonderful. The fans are so passionate!”
“The fans love the movies so much, and to hear that, brings us a lot of happiness,” Webster noted.
Regarding his favorite holiday traditions, Webster said, “Some of my favorite holiday traditions are eating my mom’s home-cooked meals. Then we go to Newport Beach in Orange County, which is where my mom lives, and we go see all the Christmas lights, drink hot chocolate and we do the Boat Parade.”
Travis Van Winkle
On being a part of Christmas Con, Van Winkle said, “I don’t think you can have a bad day at a Hallmark convention. Everyone is just very happy to be here.”
Regarding his favorite holiday traditions, Van Winkle shared, “I like to see a movie on Christmas Day in the movie theater, and I always bring my dog with me. On Christmas Eve, I would play a lot of games with my family members, and then, we open presents.”
On his definition of the word success, Van Winkle said, “Being able to do the things that you love… that bring you joy and that you are passionate about.”
