Christopher Ash of Florida sat down and chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos prior to the 2025 Mr. America Global finals, which were held in Hilton Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland.
“I am excited to be here,” he admitted. This is my first time doing a pageant, and I am thrilled for the opportunities and the doors that it’s going to open.”
His advocacy is “Voices for the Voiceless,” which shines a light on human trafficking. “It helps victims and those that are still trapped,” he said.
“I hope that this platform raises awareness for kids that thought life didn’t have anything to offer them a chance to see that if they put their mind to something, then they can truly achieve greatness.”
On his definition of the word success, he revealed, “Success means having purpose in life.”
Christopher Ash was able to make a positive impression with his peers and fellow Mr. America Global finalists.
Mr. America Global runner-up Alijah Johnson expressed, “Christopher Ash came to the team with a ton of positive energy. He was always positive, down to earth, and generous with his time always willing to lend a hand when needed. He walked with a sense of humility and confidence, going about his business with an eagerness to help in any way possible.”
“Chris is a hero to me and many others. His passion and dedication for his advocacy for victims of human trafficking is not only amazing but inspiring he makes you want to do more and be better for yourself! He’s an advocate you want fighting alongside you,” Johnson added.
Emmyrich “Richie” Vicente said, “I like Christopher’s passion for his beliefs, and I am so glad you have met him at Mr. America Global 2025.”
David Borum of Oklahoma (who will go on to rep the USA in Mr. International PH) remarked, “Mr. Florida was such a kind and genuine guy! He was truly authentic to himself and that is what I respected about him the most!”
Kristian Bandeira of Massachusetts (who will go on to represent the USA in Mister Cosmo) stated, “Christopher is a truly a one of a kind man. He is driven by an unshakable conviction that runs deep through every part of who he is. His strength lies not just in his actions, but in his unwavering principles and morals that guide them.”
