Meow Wolf Grapevine: An Array of Entertainment Choices

Meow Wolf Grapevine aims to stand out from other attractions in the DFW area with its exceptional combination of immersive, psychedelic art and interactive storytelling. It is a space that inspires visitors to explore its vast and surreal environment, where everyone can discover hidden rooms and dynamic exhibits full of surprises and secrets. What sets this place apart is its narrative experience which allows visitors to become part of a larger story. With more than 30 collaborating Texas artists, Meow Wolf Grapevine offers a range of art installations that encourages visitors to step outside of their comfort zones, contemplate art, and embrace the unexpected!

Meow Wolf’s newest location at Grapevine Mills is its fourth installation, with a fifth planned to open in Houston next year. What makes Meow Wolf Grapevine unique is its standout offerings in locally sourced and diverse sections of food and beverages. Their cafe and retail store, which will be located outside the entrance, will showcase a variety of treats and drinks from local vendors, providing visitors with a chance to savor the one-of-a-kind flavors and cultures of the DFW metroplex. Some of these tremendous local spots include Hive Bakery, a woman-owned business that serves exceptional, freshly-baked pastries made with high-quality ingredients; and Peaberry Coffee, DFW’s only canned ice coffee from Oak Cliff’s top craft coffee shop.

Meow Wolf sent a call out to the community, and the community answered back!” Kelly Schwartz, Meow Wolf Grapevine’s General Manager says. “Overall, the selection process for local vendors at Meow Wolf Grapevine was based on the attraction’s commitment to supporting the local area, promoting sustainability, and creating an immersive and authentic experience for visitors.”

Exploring the Vendors: JuiceLand

JuiceLand is one of Meow Wolf Grapevine’s unique vendors that provides a selection of organic and locally sourced juices reflecting the distinctive flavors and ingredients of Texas.

The company plans to offer a couple of bottled juices, including the Red River and the Green Belt, which are only available at their Austin-Bergstrom International Airport location.

“The [Red River] is a bright and refreshing drink made with pineapple, orange, and ginger, while the [Green Belt] is a classic green juice with the added benefit of dandelion greens, which we hope won’t intimidate anyone,” Jeff Degernas, Director of Purchasing & Beverage Development says. “As for myself, I’m more inclined to drink green juice with unique ingredients that aren’t typically found in other juices.”

In 2004, Jeff joined JuiceLand when it only had a few employees. As the purchasing director, he is responsible for sourcing high-quality ingredients from family-owned organic farms and local sources around the world. With JuiceLand’s expansion, the importance of spending time on purchasing became evident, as maintaining the supply chain and ensuring the best ingredients for customers is part of Jeff’s responsibilities. The JuiceLand team is excited about this new adventure with Meow Wolf Grapevine, as they had already been discussing it internally due to their cool fixation with the concept.

“I visited two years ago and was blown away, so when this opportunity arose, it was a no-brainer,” Jeff says. “While it is a challenge to deliver fresh products daily to all our locations, including Dallas three times a week, adding Meow Wolf is a great opportunity for us. We’re happy to partner with such a great vendor and we are also glad to see Meow Wolf expanding to other places because we want JuiceLand to be fun and colorful, where kids and families are welcome and can have a good time. Also, we want to entertain our customers while they wait, whether it’s with music or murals!”

According to Jeff, choosing the menu options to offer at Meow Wolf Grapevine is a simple process since the two brands share a similar clientele. With a focus on catering to creative individuals who are keen on branching out, both Meow Wolf and JuiceLand aim to provide healthy options for their visitors.

“You can get juice, soda, or a cupcake, but we want to offer something that had substance,” Jeff explains. “The green juice is something everyone can enjoy, and the Red River is a fruity option that kids would like, but it also contains beets. The [Holy Roller] is our biggest seller and the most popular item among us – it is a good value because it can satisfy customers without needing anything else.”

Local Food & Beverage Vitality

Meow Wolf Grapevine’s commitment to supporting the local community and promoting sustainability has led to a collaboration with these local vendors. With these partnerships, the attraction hopes to create a more authentic and immersive experience for visitors. The focus on local growth and community is a core value that Meow Wolf has always embraced, and the partnership with local vendors further cements the commitment.

“Some of our vendors have even collaborated with our local artists on products, such as the design by artist, Will Heron featured on a can of iced coffee from Peaberry Coffee, one of our local vendors,” Kelly says. “By working together with local businesses, Meow Wolf Grapevine can create a more inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates creativity and innovation!”

JuiceLand’s commitment to supporting local artists and musicians is a reflection of its larger goal to uplift the community. Their efforts to showcase local vendors in their stores and to keep open schedules have made them a beloved business in DFW. As Meow Wolf Grapevine looks to promote sustainability and foster a sense of community, partnering with local vendors like JuiceLand reinforces its commitment to the regions and the arts. By supporting local businesses and artists, Meow Wolf and JuiceLand aim to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the community.

“When people visit Meow Wolf, they will see their commitment to the environment through their use of biodegradable or compostable materials, which they have been using for over a decade,” Jeff says. “Unlike other competitors, JuiceLand’s commitment to the environment is more significant than its bottom line. JuiceLand’s partnership with Meow Wolf is an honor for us and we are thrilled to be a part of their wonderful and eclectic environment. We believe that our business will bring joy to many children and families there!”
