Actor Felix Merback chatted about being a part of VertiCon 2026 in Culver City, and his new movie “Dead Janitors Club.” #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

Merback is thrilled to be at VertiCon. “This feels incredible,” he exclaimed. “The fans are awesome! Their support is incredibly flattering, and it is more than I could have ever asked for in my career. So, thank you guys.”

He also went on to share some of his proudest moments in acting. “I did a play for the Jewish Theatre of Bloomington as part of my first professional acting job ever. That meant a lot to me because I am from Bloomington, Indiana. I think it allowed me to explore something that I really didn’t get the opportunity to score before, especially being on stage,” he said.

Merback is also looking forward to his new film “Dead Janitors Club,” where he stars opposite Jake Busey, which will be in theaters next week. It is based on a true story.

The synopsis is: “Dead Janitors Club” is a dark comedy crime film adapted from Jeff Klima’s real-life memoir, The Dead Janitors Club: Pathetically True Tales of a Crime Scene Cleanup King. The story follows crooked cop Dirk (Jake Busey) and his cash-strapped partner Jeff Klima (Felix Merback) as they run a risky, illicit side-hustle cleaning up crime scenes.

Things spiral violently out of control when Jeff lifts a mysterious safe from a bloody crime scene, not realizing it belongs to a dangerous drug cartel. At the same time, Jeff falls for Kerry (Brianna Gage), a tattoo artist who is quickly dragged into the crosshairs.

“We shot that a year ago but now, it is finally coming out,” he enthused, and he noted that he hopes people go and see it.
