Fashion model and influencer Chase Stobbe chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his latest ventures.
Stephen Hawking once said: “Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious.” This quote applies to Chase Stobbe.
The digital age
On being a part of the digital age, Chase said, “It feels so good! There are a lot of opportunities in the digital age, for sure.”
“Also, it feels like you can receive all the access to everyone, but they can also receive all the access to you. So, it’s kind of weird but there are tradeoffs,” he added.
Daily motivations
Regarding his daily motivations, he shared, “Just making it in the world. I had a lot of goals and aspirations before I got into modeling. So, if I can reach those expectations using modeling, then I’ll have to go back to that.”
“As long as I can keep up with those goals and aspirations and lifestyle, by using modeling as a tool, that’s what keeps me going,” he added.
Future plans
On his future plans, Chase remarked, “I have a lot of things that I’m thinking about for the future. Some business ventures in terms of pivoting into things more than just modeling, on more of a business and entrepreneur side.”
“Also, perhaps I might venture into acting. I might look into the vertical dramas because those are really popular right now,” he added.
Career-defining moments
On his career-defining moments, he revealed, “I think mainly the early parts of my career, before it took off, because when I was younger, I was going to school to become a doctor. That is what my mother wanted. So, I always got straight As, and I had never gotten a B in my life, and that really taught me discipline.”
“Then, a few things that I went through such as friendships and relationships also helped put me on a path to want to better myself as a person,” he noted.
“Honestly, the career itself isn’t what really shaped me. I think the career was formed more out of how I got shaped because of the other things,” he added.
Advice for young and aspiring models and influencers
For young and emerging models and influencers, he stated, “I think my best piece of advice for someone who wants to make it big in the modeling career is to really have confidence and belief in yourself.”
“There are people who are going to be way more popular than you, who on an objective standard may not be as beautiful or pretty as you, but as long as you believe in yourself, there will always an audience for you out there,” he added.
Working with Ricardo Guerrero at Pretty Management
Chase had great words working with Ricardo Guerrero, director at Pretty Management. “Ricardo is awesome and super friendly. He gives off more of a best buddy vibe vs. an agent, but he is really nice and really has the best interests out there for his models,” Chase said.
Stage of his life
Regarding the title of the current chapter of his life, Chase responded, “We are still in the beginning!”
Success
For Chase, the word success is a liberating sensation. “I think success means freedom,” he admitted. “Having the freedom to choose what you want to do in whatever aspect of your life you want to do it.”
“You are not constrained by numbers or goals or anything like that. You can just drift wherever you want. That’s when you know you’ve reached success,” he added.
Message for his fans
For his fans and supporters, that have been with him on his journey, Chase said, “I really appreciate all my fans and supporters. I know a lot of people that were previously in my place, and they crashed out pretty hard.”
“So, I’m really thankful and appreciative for them and how much they’ve let me come in my success,” he said, effusively.
“I would like to say that I’m super happy that my fans are still supporting me,” he admitted. “I have fans that I’ve known since the beginning that are still there commenting on my posts, and they are still sending me messages all the time. So, I love to reach back out to them,” he elaborated.
