Jordan Torres (JT) chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about being an entrepreneur, fashion model, and social influencer in the digital age.
Swami Sivananda once said: “Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” This quote applies to JT.
The digital age
On being a fashion model, content creator and influencer in the digital age, JT remarked, “I think right now, the digital age is probably one of the coolest things because there are so many more opportunities out there, especially for models.
You’re able to build your own brand, which it was something that I was blessed enough to do. I started, you know, I always say like I did start when it was, you know, it was a lot tougher. So I do take credibility into that, being a Latino from the Bronx. But now I love that you’re able to showcase more of your talent, not just being more boxed in, you know.
Daily motivations
On his daily motivations, he stated, “What motivates me every day is being able to take care of my family, breaking the generational curse, especially growing up in poverty in the rough edges of the Bronx. So, just bettering my situation for my future, and one day, I hope to have a family.”
“One of the toughest moments was being told ‘no’ a lot, and having opportunities to change my life forever, and then, not getting it. That allowed me to be patient and trust timing and realizing that sometimes everything is not going to play out how you think it is.”
“What is most important is that what is meant for you will find its way… whatever is meant to happen is bound to happen,” he added.
Future plans
On his future plans, JT shared, “Right now, I have real estate. I have a nightclub as well. I think I just want to continue to utilize my platform, launching Feels by JT, launching my underwear line, my candles, and really creating a wellness brand.”
“I want to continue my entrepreneurship, just to keep on building, and open more businesses. I also want to create a blueprint to help people and to give back all my knowledge that I’ve learned and be able to put people in a position of success,” he acknowledged.

Defining moments
JT if a firm believer that the adverse moments helped mold him into who he is today. “Being broke,” he noted. “Facing a lot of adversity helped define me. It showed me how strong and resilient I’ve become. It showed me that all I need is myself.”
“While it is great to have support from people, it is also very important to love yourself and know that you are capable of doing anything,” she said.
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, JT revealed, “Fulfillment.”
Superpower of choice
If he were to have any superpower, it would be “super strength.” “I would want to be the strongest person out there,” he admitted.
Advice for hopefuls that wish to become models or influencers
For hopefuls that wish to go into content creation or modeling, JT said, “I would tell them to stay in their own lane. Don’t compare yourself to anybody. Comparison is the thief of joy. I think it’s very important to continue to be inspired by others. We are all different in our own unique ways.”
“So, if you are going to do it, do it how you would want to do it, and don’t copy other people. It is much cooler if you do your own thing. You ride your own wave and believe in yourself. Don’t compare yourself. Have less of an ego but be competitive and be confident,” he noted.
“Don’t worry about the number of followers you have. Even though I have 2.5 million followers among all my platforms, what I love most about my audience is how much they engage with me. So, the number of people that follow you is irrelevant. It’s all about who is engaging with you. So that would be my best advice to anybody who wants to enter the field,” he elaborated.
Working with Ricardo Guerrero
JT had positive words about working with Ricardo Guerrero, director of Pretty Management. “Ricardo is the best agent in the world,” he said. “I love that dude. I love him so much because he allows me to be myself. He has never tried to ever change me. I’ve been with Ricardo since I was 19 years old,” he said.
Success
Regarding his definition of the word success, JT said, “Success, to me, means being at peace. It’s cool to have money and material things but they don’t last. What is cooler is being around your family.”
“What the money does is it gives you the freedom to take care of your family, so you do good things for your family. You are able to pay the bills and put food on the table. You are able to put a roof over your head. Those are all the most important things,” he elaborated.
“So, success is being at peace and genuinely just being happy. It is genuinely feeling the happiness,” he added.
Message for his fans and supporters
For his fans and supporters, JT expressed, “I would like to say ‘thank you so much’ for being there, for riding with me through all the ups and downs. Thank you for continuing to support me.”
“Without the fans, there is no JT. The fans have changed my life forever, and I am very appreciative of their support,” JT said, effusively.
