Actors Marcus Wells, Anthony Turpel, and Colin McCalla will star in “Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead.” #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

The official announcement was made earlier today via an article in BroadwayWorld. It will play for a limited engagement at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, California from June 7 to 23. Ryan Warren (“Generation Me”) served as the director.

Joining these three aforementioned actors are Natalie Burgeois, Mateo Gonzales, Addyson Bell, Isabella Coben, Ellee Jo Trowbridge, Ted Guzman, Jacob Martinez, Fatemeh Mehraban, and Emma Lord.

According to the Second Wind Entertainment website, the synopsis is: An “unauthorized continuation,” Dog Sees God reimagines characters from the popular Peanuts comic strip as degenerate teenagers in an homage to the works of Charles M. Schulz.

When CB’s dog dies, CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his sister has gone goth; his ex-girlfriend has recently been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give him any sort of solace. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of this group’s bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and means to rebel against his predictable, doormat personality.

In this updated version of Dog Sees God, Bert V. Royal revises his 2004 play to reflect language and themes for a modern audience in 2024, thus 20 years later.
