Michael Thomas White chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about representing South Carolina in the 2025 Mister USA competition.

Michael J. Fox once said: “I like to encourage people to realize that any action is a good action if it’s proactive and there is positive intent behind it.” This quote applies to Michael Thomas White.

    Background on 2025 Mister USA

Mister USA is an American beauty pageant, which is held annually, and the winner goes on to represent the United States in the Mister Universe competition. It is a celebration of culture, diversity, beauty, intelligence and empowerment.

Mister USA believes in the power of young leaders to make a difference in the world. It is not solely about outer beauty; it recognizes the inner beauty and intelligence of their contestants.

On being a part of the 2025 Mister USA, White exclaimed, “It feels great to be competing in Mister USA! I’m honored to have the opportunity to represent my country on the world stage.”

“I love what the contest embodies: leadership, discipline, and creativity,” White added.

On repping South Carolina, he shared, “I’m thrilled and proud to be repping South Carolina – a lot of my family lives in the Palmetto State, including my mother, aunt, uncle, sister, and brother. It’s where I spend my holidays and consider home.”

    Daily motivations

Regarding his daily motivations, he revealed, “I aim to be the best version of myself every day, whether I’m working in the office, recording music, or going to the gym.”

“My family’s mantra is ‘Camp Never Stop,’ which to me means living each day to the fullest like a kid would at summer camp. I never want to lose that joy for life,” he added.

    Future plans

On his future plans, White stated, “I’ve been diligently working on new music in the evenings after my 9 to 5 job. It would be a dream come true to be a touring artist and have a successful career in entertainment.”

White on why he feels he deserves to win Mister USA

When asked why he feels he deserves to win this year’s Mister USA pageant, he responded, “I believe I represent many Americans with my work ethic. I worked hard to get into and graduate from a Tier 1 university and I now have a 9 to 5 job while using the extra time to create a life of my dreams.”

“I feel I bring a balanced and grounded personality to the competition, as someone who wears multiple hats every day,” he added.

Best advice he has ever been given

White furnished some of the best advice that he has ever been given. “The best advice I’ve been given is ‘tough times don’t last, tough people do.”

“There have been so many times in my past where I doubted I had what it took to be successful. From late nights in the library studying for exams at Northwestern to building an online fanbase, I didn’t know if I could actually achieve my goals, but I’m a big believer in destiny and never giving up,” he elaborated.

    Success

On his definition of the word success, White said, “To me, success means doing something you love, being happy as a result, and leaving a lasting legacy.”

“At the end of the day, life is short and I believe it’s important to never give up on your dreams. You never know when a song is going to be a hit,” he added.

For fans and supporters, he expressed, “I appreciate my fans’ patience as I’ve navigated the past couple years. My fanbase grew exponentially in 2022-2023, and I’ve recently been taking my time to create quality content and music. I assure my fans that it’s all going to be worth the wait, and that what I’m working on every day will make them proud for supporting me.”

“Mister USA is an incredible opportunity to have my voice heard by millions of people around the globe, and I couldn’t be more excited to take the stage at Mister USA in July in Los Angeles. Expect a lot of content from me training leading up to the competition,” White concluded.
