Jackson Tiller and Meg Bush star in the new vertical drama “The CEO and the Country Girl,” which just premiered on AltaTV. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

Corey Gibbons directed from a screenplay by Jenny Rosen.

When her sister betrays her and a ruthless CEO targets her family farm, fiery small-town cowgirl Avery Rogers (Meg Bush) clashes—and sparks—with Tyler Sinclair (Jackson Tiller), the corporate heir sent to take her land.

As lust and loyalty collide, a small-town cookout—Tyler’s bold bid to save Avery and her father’s legacy—turns enemies into something dangerously close to lovers, and turning their worlds upside down.

Meg Bush nails the role of the southern belle Avery Rogers, who is reminiscent of a young Miranda Lambert meets Lainey Wilson (and that ought to be taken as a compliment. Jackson Tiller charms as Tyler Sinclair, who emerges as our Brantley Gilbert in his own right. (Notice the country star analogies in this.)

Jackson and Meg have great chemistry together, and her character is sympathetic to the point where the audience wants to root for her from the first episode.

Josiah Lipscomb delivers as the nefarious Sawyer White, while Katelin Chesna is appealing as the vindictive and obnoxious Marissa Sinclair.

The Verdict

Overall, Jackson Tiller and Meg Bush are superb in “The CEO and the Country Girl.” The script by Jenny Rosen is rich in character development, and the ending is solid. It is worth checking out, and it garners two giant thumbs up. Well done.
