The synopsis is: When 35-year-old detective Natalia River (Sarah Diamond) investigates a massive corporate crime, her hunt leads to Maverick Wolfe (Mark Vega), a 25-year-old genius secretly named CEO of a major business empire. As the lines between duty and desire blur, a forbidden (age gap) romance ignites between the relentless officer and her “dangerously” irresistible suspect (Maverick).
Sarah Diamond commands each scene she is in as the bold and brave detective Natalia (where viewers can recall a young Jennifer Garner), and she has great chemistry with the charming Mark Vega as Maverick Wolfe (who is reminiscent of Joe Jonas meets Brayden Dunbar). Their heated rapport allows for more resonance.
Some of the other supporting characters play villains that the audience will love to hate.
The Verdict
Overall, “Older Than His Alibi” is a neat and engaging vertical drama on Vigloo. The two leads (Mark Vega and Sarah Diamond) will sustain the audience’s attention for its entire duration. While it is slightly predictable, it was entertaining and feel-good escapism. It is worth checking out, and it garners four out of five stars.
